Pediatric ED

Our pediatric emergency department is located within the SIUH, North Campus. We see nearly 20,000 children per year and our numbers continue to grow. We are primarily staffed with Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship trained physicians.

Our goal is to train both our emergency medicine and pediatric residents to be comfortable taking care of sick children and possibly pursue a fellowship in PEM.  The PEM team is very dedicated to education and residency training and are involved in every aspect of residency education.  We participate in conferences, grand rounds and simulation on a very regular basis.
