Thank you for your interest in the SIUH Emergency Medicine residency program. We are a PGY 1-3 format program.We are currently recruiting for eight PGY-1 positions entering in July 2014.   Fourth year medical students interested in a career in Emergency Medicine are encouraged to apply.

Our program has accreditation from the ACGME.

SIUH participates in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). Applications will be accepted via Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Paper application materials will not be accepted. Information on ERAS is available at http://www.aamc.org/eras. Fourth year medical students should contact their medical school Dean's office for more information.  

In order to apply to our program, every applicant must send us the following materials via ERAS:

1.   USMLE scores

2.   Dean's Letter

3.   Official Medical School Transcript

4.   Three letters of recommendation. At least two should consist of Standardized Emergency Medicine questionnaires from emergency medicine faculty, preferably from two different rotations.  More information on the CORD SLOR (Standard Letter of Recommendation) is available here

Completed applications will be reviewed by our committee and interviews will be granted accordingly.   We suggest that you complete your application as early as possible to improve your chances of obtaining an interview.
